Frequently Asked Questions

"It depends what their behaviour is, but a code of conduct should address most things. (See Carrick Housing's website at www.carrickhousing.org.uk for a copy of our compact which has all our core standards in.)

Have you tried taking the individual to one side and giving them a 'heads up' that their behaviour is 'interpreted' as inapporpriate? Sometimes this can make them think and change their behaviour, if not - you've given them the chance to modify their behaviour before going down a more official route."

"Every two years, Carrick Housing staff spend two weeks door knocking. In rural neighbourhoods of less than 10 properties, we find our tenants are pleasantly surprised that we have invested the time to visit and talk to them about their views"

"Tenants from South East Cornwall Landlord Services have run summer roadshows in small and isolated neighbourhoods and have provided cream teas and other refreshments for their communities."
