Fostering Youth Engagement - Learning Exchange

Monday, 25 October, 2010 10:00 - 14:00
Involvement workers in south west to think-tank new ways of involving younger residents

For many resident involvement workers, the meaningful engagement of young people is a recurrent challenge. Last summer, the Resident Involvement Champion’s (RIC) Network in the South West carried out a regional survey to find out what were the major challenges facing those working in our field, and interacting with younger residents was consistently named by many housing providers as a big area for improvement.

Do you experience difficulties reaching your younger tenants and residents? Could you benefit from an opportunity to share methods with other housing providers? Would you like to hear about the approach of an industry leader in this field?

A learning exchange will be held on Monday 25th October and will be hosted by Poole Housing Partnership, in association with the RIC Network (South West). Poole Housing Partnership was recently assessed as a three star housing provider, and they have had particular success in engaging their younger residents through developing an innovative youth engagement strategy.

Please find below a programme for the event, together with a booking form. If you or a colleague would like to attend, please complete and return to Carrick Housing. The cost has been kept to the streamlined fee of just £15 per person to cover lunch etc.  Numbers will be limited so please respond early to guarantee a place.
