Learning Exchange 2009

Our first London region learning exchange took place in April 2009 and attracted over 90 delegates.

There were keynote presentations from the TSA, Chartered Institute of Housing and the Greater London Authority.

Deborah Ilot from the TSA gave everyone an update on the progress being made on the ‘National Conversation’. Ashraf Ahmed the Resident Participation Manager from the CIH explained his role and outlined their new tenant accreditation scheme ‘Active Learning for Residents’.

Simon Cribbens from the GLA summarised the main points from the Mayor’s London Housing Policy and discussed how he wanted tenants to be more engaged in strategic housing programmes.

During the afternoon delegates could choose from a range of workshops delivered by RP workers across London. These included Greenwich Council, Poplar HARCA, Lambeth Living and Amicus Horizon.
