Regionally
Each champion sets a regional programme with housing authorities in their area and according to their needs. This may include:-
- PROFILING
Lists of local authorities, social housing providers and key partners including governmental and non-governmental organisations
- SIGNPOSTING
Participating organisations willing to share their expertise will be introduced to organisations wanting to learn from them
- MENTORING
1-2-1 support and assistance for participating organisations
- REGIONAL EVENTS
Exchange visits, conferences, estate visits etc
- SHADOWING
Staff exchanges between organisations over short periods will be facilitated
Nationally
The nine champions support each other - sharing good practice and signposting between regions. Some of the methods used are:-
- Championing the involvement of residents in the management of their homes and estates and in the strategic housing programme
- Supporting those who work in resident involvement or community engagement fields
- Influencing the national agenda on community engagement
- Linking with other national bodies who work within the community engagement field
- Showcasing examples of good practice from all the regions
- Hosting an annual national conference and an industry orientated website
- Benchmarking new industry standards and pioneering fresh approaches
